The Terrifying Sphynx
Who unravels the enigmas of the Sphynx?
Most often Sphynxes would simply only let people pass that were granted entry or that were in possession of a password. What is true however, is that it was impossible to bribe them and that Sphynxes would brutally murder you if you tried to enter without permission. There is a tale of the creator of a Sphynx who forgot her own password and was relieved of her mortal shell by the Sphynx.
